Shard Features - Ores
| HOW MINING WORKS |
|
Aeternum uses a hybrid random/vein mining system. Once you target a location, you will continue mining until the vein is empty, or you move too far away from the location. This means that veins do exist, but they only hold the amount of ore, not the type. The type of ore that your character mines depends on their skill level and location. Some ores can only be mined on the Ragnarok facet. Others are only available through Bulk Order Deed Rewards. The rest are mineable.
You also have a chance of mining up gems and bone instead of ore. See the gem list for the types of gems that you can mine up.
Please also keep in mind that the skill needed to mine is NOT the same skill needed in smithing or tinkering in order to use the metal.
At GM mining, you also have the ability to double smelt. Double smelting means that you can refine (smelt) 2 ingots from each 1 ore. |
